To facilitate the people-to-people exchanges between China and Ethiopia, starting from December 17, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia will provide walk-in visa application services and online appointment will no longer be required. Please follow the steps below to submit the application:

1. Please log on to the website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Ethiopia (https://www.visaforchina.cn/ADD2_EN/) and fill out the application form online.

2. Please download and print the full application form, sign on the confirmation page and the last page.

3. Please directly bring and submit the hard copies of the application form and other required documents to the Chinese Visa Application Center in Ethiopia during its working hours(From Monday to Friday 9:00am to 15:00pm).

Kind Reminder:

A surge of applicants may cause prolonged waiting time at the initial period of appointment-free arrangement. Applicants are advised to arrange their time for submission according to their travel itinerary. Besides, application procedures remain unchanged for those documents that are processed directly by the Embassy without appointment, as referred to in Embassy’s Notice dated March 10, 2023.
