Notice on Application for Visa for Hong Kong/Macau Special Administrative Region of China

In order to provide high quality service, from May 1st, 2019, the applicants who apply for visas for Hong Kong/Macau Special Administrative Regions of China with ordinary passports, shall submit their applications via the Brisbane China Visa Application Center. The Chinese Consulate General in Brisbane no longer accepts the above visa applications directly. The specific information is as follows:

    2. Business hours and fees
    (1) Business hours: Monday to Friday 9:00-15:00Except Australian and Chinese public holidays
    (2) Fees: In addition to visa fees and express fees, the Brisbane China Visa Application center will charge a certain amount of service fees. Please consult the Brisbane Visa Application Center or refer to its website for specific charges.
    (3) Processing time: Ordinary documents, usually 4 working days after submission of the application, can be obtained. Accelerated services must be approved by consular officers, and additional fees will be charged. The above processing time is for reference only. The processing time for cases to be transmitted to the Hong Kong/Macau SAR Government will be extended.

3. Special notices:

(1) Whether a visa can be issued is decided by the Chinese Consulate General in Brisbane. The Brisbane China Visa Application  Center does not participate in the visa application processing.

   (2) The applicants who hold Diplomatic, Official (Service) passports,  or intend to apply for diplomatic, official, or courtesy visas, and the Chinese citizens who apply for Entry Permit to Hong Kong SAR, should still submit applications to the Chinese Consulate General in Brisbane directly. Address: Level 9, 79 Adelaide Street. BrisbaneQLD 4000; Office hours: Monday to Friday 9:00-12:00 (Public holidays excepted).

(3) Applicants can submit applications of visas for Hong Kong/Macau SAR of China to the Chinese Consulate General in Brisbane through the Brisbane China Visa Application Center, or to the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong SAR of China, or to the Public Security Police Force of the Macau SAR of China on their own.
