Online Chinese Visa Application Procedure Step1,Step2,Step3
STEP 1: Online Submission
The applicant needs to make an online payment for the service (Express/Normal) and then visit the website to fill the application form and upload the documents as per requirement along with the payment confirmation email.
Please note the service cannot be changed at the later stage. Visa fees will be accepted at the time of submitting your passport at the centre.

This website is intended for applicants applying for a visa to China in Mumbai.
Make sure you have selected the correct location (check the top right corner of the page).
1. Create an account and log in. (Check the top right corner of the page).
2. All applicants (except those applying for a visa to Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR of China) must:
2.1 Complete the online visa application form.
2.2 Upload the required documents, including passport, photo, and any necessary supporting documents along with print out of payment confirmation email.
2.3 Click the "Submit" button.
3. Minors must add the following documents to their applications:
3.1 *Child support.
3.2 *Paternal and maternal authorization.
3.3 *Family record or birth certificate.
4. Applicants must only upload previous visas from the last 5 years.
5. Applicants must attach their photos in the corresponding boxes, not just any multiple photos in the same box.
Remarks:
a. It is imperative to click "Submit" at the payment stage, otherwise the status will remain "Pending".
b. Online payment of visa fees is not yet available
6. Waiting for preliminary verification and online approval.
6.1You may receive an email requesting additional documents or corrections, and your status will then be "Rejected". You will need to modify your application and resubmit it (status: "Under Review").
6.2 Once your application is approved, you will receive a confirmation email, and your status will change to " online review completed ". Print the “Visa Application Certificate” attached to the email and bring it to the Visa Centre with the other required documents (see Step 2). Please Note: Receiving an email confirming online review completed of your application does not mean that your visa has been approved, whether your application will be accepted is subject to the confirmation from the visa centre counter.
6.3 The status of your application can be viewed by logging in to your account. Please select the correct Created Date, otherwise, the system will display “No Data”. (If online application status is " online review completed " but no email is received, you can print the application form with barcode, screenshot of the "approved" website page and other documents, then come to visa centre for submission).

STEP 2: Submitting Documents to the Visa Centre after Online Approval (No Appointment Required)
Special Reminder: Applicants for diplomatic, official, courtesy, and other visas are still requested to submit their applications at the Chinese Consulate General in Mumbai.
Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports are exempt from transfer service fees.
Application Procedure
1. Submitting Documents to the Visa Centre
Bring the following documents (other documents may be requested on-site if necessary):
1) Visa Application Certificate (attachment in the approval email).
2) Original passport.
3) Recent photo if the one uploaded is deemed non-compliant.
4) Original kinship certificate, if requested during online submission.
5) Barcode document (TE Official Invitation/Invitation Verification) must be printed.
6) Applicants for visa types: S, Q, X, and Z must submit all necessary documents to the centre and attend an possible interview at the Consulate General if informed by visa centre.
7)J visa applicants must submit the following documents and undergo an interview at the Consulate General:
*Visa application letter signed by their supervisors, including (journalist's name, date, location, and agreed upon assignment to China, general presentation, telephone and fax address of their institution).
*Invitation letter.
*Photocopy of professional ID card.
*Detailed visit program.
2. Payment
Applicants shall pay the service fees online before submitting the application online and the visa fee at Visa Centre with CASH at the time of submitting documents to the Visa Centre
3. Applicants must submit their applications to the VFS Visa Centre
within 15 days of receiving their confirmation letter.

STEP 3: Collection
From the day you submit the application at the Visa Centre
Normal Service: Around 5 working days
Express Service: Around 4 working days
Urgent Service: Around 2 working days (Post Consulate Approval)
Please make collection during the opening hours at the Visa Centre with the original pick-up form.
Submission time: 08:00 to 14:00 (For applicants)
08:00 to 12:00 (For Registered Travel Agents and Representatives)
Collection time: 14:00 to 17:00
