Statement on a Case of Mis-delivery

Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Copenhagen (hereinafter referred to as “the Center”) noticed recent reports about a mail mistakenly delivered to the Center in 2015 and was shocked to see biased comments in some reports.

As a result of thorough investigation, the Center would like to present the fact as follows:

On a daily basis, the Center receives and handles numerous mails for visa application from various places in Denmark. One day in February 2015, a staff member of the Center found a mail with  CDs instead of passports. She checked the envelope and discovered that this mail was delivered to the Center by mistake and should have been delivered to SundhedsPlatformen which is located upstairs. According to the normal procedure, she immediately informed the chief of the Center and was instructed to hand over the mail to SundhedsPlatformen. The staff of SundhedsPlatformen thanked her for handing over the mail promptly. None of the staff at the Center was aware or had interests to be aware what type of CDs are included in the mail until some reports came out yesterday.

Since its establishment, the Center has been fully respecting and strictly abiding by the Danish laws and regulations. The Center works hard to enhance the quality of its services for all Danish applicants, with no intention to be involved in any issues beyond its legal mandate.

The Center will not accept any distorted reports and groundless accusations related to this matter.
