1. Who can apply at the Visa Centre?
(1)You can submit the application yourself or authorize a third party to do so. The Visa Centre accepts visa applications from Vietnam citizens or citizens of other countries staying in Vietnam with appropriate legal status. However, we cannot accept the application if you are not physically in Vietnam when your application is being submitted. Please submit to the visa center located in the country of your current residency, or submit to us after you come back to Vietnam.
(2) The Chinese Embassy and Consulates-General have their own jurisdictional areas formally known as consular districts. Please click here to check the service areas of this Visa Centre.

2. How far in advance should I submit my application?
You should make your application well in advance of the planned travel date. You are advised to apply ONE month in advance but no earlier than THREE months.
Visa processing time varies with location. Please click here for the processing time of this Visa Centre. However, you should be aware that actual processing time may be longer than that posted on the web site in certain circumstances.

3. Is an appointment required to submit the application?

 

From 23rd Oct. 2023,  applicants aren't requested to make an appointment online for applying Chinese visa.

4. What should I do after arriving at the Centre?

Upon arrival, you will:
a) Show your appointment form, visa application form and passport to reception, then obtain a queue number for passport-scanning;
b)Scan the information on your passport at the specified reception and obtain a queue number for submitting applications.Please wait for your number to be called;
c)Submit your application at the counter designated ,receive a payment notice and pay at the  cashier, you will receive a pick-up form, which is a receipt showing the information of your application and expected date for collection;
d)Please check all the particulars on the pick-up form; should you have any questions about the information printed on it, please contact the staff immediately. Always carefully retain the pick-up form as it must be shown when collecting your passport.


5. Can I track the status of my application?
The Chinese Visa Application Service Centre provides a 24-hour online facility to track the status of your application. You can click here to enter track your application status page and bookmark it. Or you can easily find the tracking page from Online Application Form and Appoinment on the homepage of the Visa Centre web site.

6. Do I pay when submitting my application?
Yes, you must make the payment of visa fee and service fee right after your application is accepted. If the visa application is not approved by embassy, or rejected, or changed, the service fee paid will not be refund.

The fee for applicants of third Countries may be different from those stated in the schedule.Final payment is subject to the actual amount given by the Chinese Visa Application Service Center.

7. Can I cancel my application after submitting it?
The application process involves sophisticated procedures so that the Visa Centre normally won’t accept to pull a single application out of the ongoing process. If you do insist to withdraw your application, all the fees including the visa fee and service fee will not be refunded.
