The Chinese Embassy or Consulates General in the Republic of India will only attest documents from their respective consular district.

Applicants from the state of Maharashtra and Karnataka may apply at the Consulate General of China in Mumbai. And applicants from the state of West Bengal, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar may apply at the Consulate General of China in Kolkata. Applicants from the rest of India may apply at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in New Delhi.
