Important Notice on Fingerprints collection of Visa Application
As of 16th December 2019, the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Duesseldorf (hereinafter referred to as “Visa Application Center”) will capture all applicants fingerprints on behalf of the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Germany in accordance with Chinese laws and regulations, and based on the principle of reciprocity. The following applicants could be exempted from the aforesaid requirement:

1. Applicants who are less than 14 years old or more than 70 years old;

2. Applicants who have been issued a Chinese biometrical visa and have already registered their fingerprints with the same passport are exempted from fingerprints collection for 5 years.  But they are required to present thebiometrical visaobtained with the same passport in the past 5 years.

3. Those who suffer from mutilation of all ten fingers or whose fingerprints cannot be collected. 


Please note that all visa applicants should have their fingerprints collected in person at the Chinese Visa Application Service Centers. Applicants who forge fingerprints or use other people’s fingerprints may be denied entry to China and should bear all the consequences by themselves. Meanwhile, applicants are required to make an appointment and fill in the application forms online at the official website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Centers (https://www.visaforchina.org) in advance. A standard color identity photo will be required while submitting the application at the visa center.
