Notice on Facilitation Arrangements of Visa Application for Foreign Staff of Companies Registered in Hong Kong

Since October 26, the following arrangements are made to further facilitate the visa application for foreign staff of Hong Kong-registered companies:


a.       When a foreign staff of Hong Kong-registered companies come to the Center with the appointment form to submit their applications during the scheduled time, he/she will be issued with a special queue number for priority processing at a special counter upon presentation of one of the following documents such as proof of
employment in Hong Kong/staff card/business card/employment contract/company registration/tax registration certificate at check-in.

b.      If a foreign staff of a Hong Kong-registered company is unable to arrive at the Center to submit his/her application at the scheduled time, he/she can still inform the staff at the entrance of the lobby with the overdue/advanced appointment form and the application would be processed at the current time slot.

c.       If a foreign staff of a Hong Kong-registered company is unable to come to the Center on the scheduled time due to an urgent matter, he/she may cancel the appointment and make a new one; if he/she cannot make an appointment for suitable day, he/she may inform the Centre by email (hongkongcenter@visaforchina.org) and arrange to come to the Center for processing at a suitable time.

d.      If a foreign staff of a Hong Kong-registered company needs to travel to the Chinese Mainland for an urgent business issue or for some humanitarian reasons, he/she may apply for the urgent service to pick up the visa on the next working day at the earliest, and the urgent visa fee and service fee will be charged accordingly. 

e.       If a foreign staff of a Hong Kong-registered company has already collected fingerprints for his/her previous Chinese visa, he/she is exempted from fingerprint collection when applying for a new visa and can have the application submitted by other people. He/she must print out the completed online form and sign in person (on the first and the 7th page where signatures are needed) in his/her own handwriting to confirm the application and provide a physical photo of the applicant taken within 6 months that meets the photo requirement of the visa. 

f.        Before 31 December, the foreign staff of a Hong Kong-registered company who want to apply for single or double-entry visa for business, tourism, visiting relatives or taking crew jobs may also be exempted from fingerprinting and have their applications submitted by other people on their behalf. They should also print out the completed online form and sign in person (on the first page and the 7th page where signatures are needed) in his/her hand writing to confirm the application and provide a physical photo of the applicant taken within 6 months that meets the photo requirement of the visa.
