1. Basic Documents
 
(1)  Passport: Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and with at least two blank visa pages, a photocopy of the passport's data
(2)  Visa Application Form and Electronic Photo: Please complete the Visa Application Form in “Application Form” model and upload your electronic photo(click to check the rules for photos), then print the Visa Application Form and sign by following the tips.
(3)  Turkish ID or residence status (applicable fornon-local applicants)
If you are not applying for the visa inyour own country, you must provide the original and photocopy of your valid certificates or visa of stay, residence, employment or student status, or other valid certificates of legal staying provided by the relevant authorities of the country where you are currently staying.
(4)  Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas (applicable for those who were Chinese citizens and have obtained foreign citizenship)
If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you should provide the former Chinese passport and a photocopy of its data page.
If you have obtained Chinese visas before and apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed foreign passport that does not contain any Chinese visa, you should present the original of the previous passport, the photocopy of the previous passport’s data page and the photo page if it is separate, as well as the previous Chinese visa page. If you can't provide the previous passport, please provide a written statement or your company'sguarantee letterfor the Consulate-General's further review. If your name on the current passport differs from that on the previous one, you must provide an official document of name change).
(5)  For applicant under 18 years old must provide:
1. The original and photocopy of the unabridged birth certificate with names of the applicant's parents (If there's only the applicant's mother's name on the birth certificate, the marriage certificate or certification of kinship notarized certification of kinshipis a must).
2. Photocopy of the parents’ passports or ID cards.
3. Notarized Parental Letter of Consent or the Affidavit from non-accompanying parent(s) authorizing the travel. This letter or affidavit shouldcover the dates of the traveland the parents contact information.
2. Supporting documents
1)Original and photocopy of the Admission Letter issued by a school or other entities in China.
2) Original and photocopy of “Visa Application for Study in China” (Form JW201 or Form JW 202).
3) Documents of financial support: certificate of bank deposit (not less than 2,500 US Dollar per year), certificate of scholarship etc.
4) Civil Registration Form (Family Member Registration Form).
5) No Criminal Record.

Non-Turkish citizen applicants should provide:
Legal stay permit, residence permit, includes valid original and photocopied stay permit, residence permit, work permit, student permit or Turkish visa.
Those who had Chinese Nationality and later obtain foreign nationalities are required to provide the following:
Previous Chinese Passport, Previous Chinese identity card or Previous Chinese visa
NOTE: 1) if you are applying the Chinese visa for the first time, you should provide your previous owned Chinese passport and a photocopy of this passports’ data page.
       2) if you had obtained a Chinese visa while applying visa with a foreign passport, you should provide this foreign passport’s date page and your previously obtained Chinese visa’s photocopy.
       3) if the new passport is inconsistent with the name, date of birth of the old passport, applicant should provide an official certification to prove that applicant has changed his or her name and date of birth.
       4) if the place of birth is different in two passports, applicant should change his or her passport.
Note: 1) The invitation letter and other documents may be in the form of fax, photocopy or print out, however, the Consular Officer has the right to request the applicant to provide the original versions.
     2) If necessary, the Consular Officer may require the applicant to provide other proof documents or supplementary materials or require an interview with the applicant.
     3) The Consular Officer will decide on whether or not to issue the visa and on its validity, duration of stay and number of entries depending on the specific conditions of the applicant.
  
We kindly remind you that:
Holders of X1 Visa shall, within 30 days from the date of their entry, apply to the exit/entry administrations of public security organs under local people's governments at or above the county level in the proposed places of residence for foreigners' residence permits.
3. Special notes
 
(1)  If it is the first time that you apply for a Chinese visa since 4th Dec 2017, you should submit both the visa application and fingerprint at the centre in person, at the same time. If you have submitted the visa application as well as fingerprint in person since 4th Dec 2017, you may submit the visa application either in person or by a local legal travel agency entrusted and recognized by the Consulate-General in Istanbul for the next 5 years.
(2)  Chinese Turkishand citizens of third countries are required to submit the applications in person to the visacentre.
(3)  According to the regulations of the Consulate-General, all invitation lettersshould be original.
(4)  If necessary, the consular officer may require the applicant to provide other proofsupplementary documents, or require an interview with the applicant.
(5)  The consular officer will decide whether visais issued or not overits validity, duration of stay and number of entries in light of specific conditions of the applicant.
