Pursuant to the Turkish Tax Procedure Law and the Turkish Code of Obligations, the Istanbul Chinese Visa Application Service Center is under a statutory obligation to issue an official receipt for every fee collected from applicants. This obligation is imposed by law and may not be waived under any circumstances.

In accordance with the general principles governing the burden of proof under the Civil Procedure Law, an official receipt constitutes the principal documentary evidence of payment and provides the primary legal basis for the protection of your rights and interests in any subsequent dispute.

You are accordingly advised to:

(i)   request an official receipt at the time of each payment;

(ii)  verify that the amount stated on the receipt corresponds exactly to the amount paid; and

(iii) retain the receipt in a safe place following completion of your application.

We further wish to bring to your attention that no fee of any nature, beyond those reflected on the official receipt issued by this Center, may be requested or accepted under any circumstances. Visa Center staff are not permitted to solicit or collect any fees from applicants in their personal name, for any reason whatsoever.

If you encounter such behaviour when applying for a visa, or have reasonable grounds to suspect any wrongdoing, we urge you to inform us immediately. Your notification will be treated with the utmost care and seriousness.

We wish to bring to your attention that, in recent years, fraudulent schemes targeting visa applicants have increased significantly across Turkey. Individuals engaging in such conduct may impersonate authorized visa service centers, create counterfeit websites and call centers bearing the names of licensed service providers, and collect payments without issuing any receipts. Such conduct constitutes the criminal offence of fraud under the Turkish Criminal Code.
