1. Basic Documents
(1) Passport: Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and blank visa pages, and a photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate. Any old/cancelled original passports from 1st January 2016 onwards must be provided.
(2) Visa Application Form and Photo: Printout of Visa Application Form of P. R. China submitted online, including confirmation page, 2 recently-taken color passport photos (bare-head, full face) against a white background. Photo requirements.
(3) Copy of the front and back of Pakistan National ID card for Pakistani citizens.
(4) Proof of legal stay or residence status (applicable to those not applying for the visa in their country of citizenship): If you are not applying for the visa in the country of your citizenship, you must provide the original and photocopy of your valid visa of stay, residence, and employment or student status of the country where you are currently staying.
(5) Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas (applicable to those who were Chinese citizens and have obtained foreign citizenship): If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you should provide your previous Chinese passport and a photocopy of its data page. If you have obtained Chinese visas before and want to apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed foreign passport that does not contain any Chinese visa, you should present the photocopy of the previous passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate, as well as the previous Chinese visa page (If your name on the current passport differs from that on the previous one, you must provide an official document of name change).
(6) Official certificate of the name change: If the applicant's name is changed and differs from that in a new passport, the applicants must provide an official certificate of the name change, which must be apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
(7) Police Clearance Certificate: The applicant(s) aged 10 or above must submit the police character/clearance certificate covering the period from since birth to till date; the applicant(s) under the age of 10 are not required to submit. The certificate must be apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
2. Supporting Documents
(1) The original and colour copy of Visa application for study in China JW form (form JW201 or form JW202).
(2) The original and colour copy of Admission notice issued by the institute, academy or University in China which the applicant is going to study at.
(3) For returning student need provide return to School Permission issued by the institute, academy or University in China which the applicant is going to study at.
(4) Scholarship certificate (if any).
(5) For self support applicants who do not have scholarship or are on partial scholarship must provide 6 Months Bank statement with balance of PKR 700,000 equivalent to $2500 per year of study. If the applicant is dependent and a guardian's bank statement from the family is submitting bank statement and bank account maintanance certificate along with the AFFIDAVIT in favour of the person (father, mother, brother or sister) paying expenses should be submitted along FRC. Affidavit and FRC has to be apostilled by the ministry of foreign affairs of Pakistan with valid QR Code apostillation.
(6) Last educational document needs to be submitted after being apostilled from the ministry of foreign affairs of Pakistan.
We kindly remind you that:
Holders of X1 Visa shall, within 30 days from the date of their entry, apply to the exit/entry administrations of public security organs under local people's governments at or above the county level in the proposed places of residence for foreigners' residence permits.
3. Special Reminder
(1) If necessary, the consular officer may require the applicant to provide other supporting documents or supplementary materials, or ask for an interview with the applicant, or require signing off after the applicant finish visiting China.
(2) The applicant for certain types of Visa (D, Q1, Q2, S1, S2, X1, X2 & Z) should come in person for an interview. (every time for this visa type).
(3) The consular officer has the final decision on the visa issuance, validity, duration of stay and number of entries according to specific condition of the applicant.
