Announcement on the Update of Visa Application Requirements for China
As of June 20, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in Angola updates the requirements for applying for a visa to China for foreigners. The main adjustments are as follows:

1.Increase of the issuing bodies of the official PU invitation letter. The issuing bodies of the official visa application invitation letter will include the foreign affairs departments of most municipal governments, in addition to the current central and state bodies, provincial foreign and commercial administrations, even central enterprises.

2.Exemption from official PU invitation letter for work visa application in China. For those who have obtained approval from the competent Chinese authorities to work in China, it is not necessary to present the official PU invitation letter issued by the relevant Chinese government entities when applying for a work visa.

3.Exemption from official PU invitation letter for visa application of family members of staff returning to work in China. For foreign family members (spouses, parents, children under 18, parents of spouses) of foreigners who go to China for return to work (including those who are working in China), it is not necessary to present an official PU invitation letter issued by the relevant Chinese government entities when applying for a living or family visit visa in China.

Other foreign relatives (adult children, their spouses and unmarried partners) of foreigners who go to China for return to work (including those who are working in China) may apply, if necessary, for a visa of corresponding categories for eventual entry into China, not needing to present an official PU invitation letter issued by the relevant Chinese government entities.

4.Extension of the scope of visa application to China for humanitarian reasons. In addition to current reasons for funeral mourning, visits to family members in critical illness, etc., foreign family members (spouses, parents, parents of spouses, children, spouses of children, siblings, grandparents and grandchildren) of Chinese citizens and foreigners as permanent residence in China may apply for visas of categories corresponding to family reunion or visit to China.

5.Vaccination requirements: In principle, all visa applicants must, as necessary, complete all vaccination phases relating to the various types of vaccine, in principle produced in China or authorized by WHO for emergency or marketed use.

6.Except for special cases or passports, any visa application process for China should be contact the China Visa Application Center in Luanda. To date, visa applications for tourism and medical treatment in China are still not accepted.
