Guide to Applying for S2 Visa foe Foreign Domestic Workers in Macao

Guidelines of Applying S2 visa for Macao Foreign Domestic Workers
Applications are two phases: Online review (about 5 working days) and Offline document submission (standard or express service optional).
All application documents must be uploaded during the online review.
For offline submission, applicants must present the original passport, Macao stay permit slip, original and one copy (front & back) of the Non-resident Worker Identification Card (Blue Card), a recent 1.5‑inch white-background passport-style photo taken within 6 months (bare-headed, eyes open, lips closed, ears visible, natural facial expression, no accessories or framed glasses), original employer’s guarantee letter, printed Visa Application Confirmation, and Pages 1 & 7 of the completed application form.
Additional documents may be required upon notification by visa officers.
Visa application eligibility for Macao Foreign Domestic Worker
l The applicant should hold original Macao Non-resident Worker Identification Card (Blue Card) is issued for more than 2 months.
l The remaining validity of the Blue Card shall exceed 2 months plus the intended stay duration in the Chinese Mainland.
l Entry purpose is to accompany the employer for short-term travel, family visiting, shopping or other personal activities in the Chinese Mainland.
Required Documents for Macao Foreign Domestic Workers
1. Basic Application Documents
• Passport: Original foreign passport recognized by China, with over 6 months remaining validity and at least 2 blank visa pages (to be presented for offline submission).
• Visa Application Form: Fill in clearly, truthfully and completely. (Print Page 1 & 7, along with applicant’s signature when submitting in-person.)
• Photo: Recent (within 6 months) front-faced color photo with white background, 1.5-inch size; bare-headed, eyes open, lips closed, ears visible, natural expression; no accessories or framed glasses (one copy for offline submission).
• Macao stay permit slip for foreign domestic workers (original for offline submission).
• Original Non-resident Worker Identification Card (Blue Card), 1 copies of front & back and a screenshot of stay permit inquiry system data issued within the past month (for offline submission).
Note: The Blue Card must be issued over 2 months, and with remaining validity exceeding 2 months plus the intended stay period.
• Employer’s Macao Identity Card and China Mainland entry/residence documents.
• Employer’s Guarantee Letter (signature consistent with that on the employer’s Macao ID card).Please click here to obtain the Employer’s Guarantee Letter.
• Proof of accommodation in the China Mainland (e.g., hotel booking under employer or domestic worker’s name, employer’s property ownership certificate...etc); travel documents of itinerary(e.g., train, ferry or flight bookings under both parties’ names).

Important Reminders
(1) If employer is Macao Non-resident Worker, the following documents should be provided:
- Front & back copies of employer’s Blue Card;
- Screenshot of employer’s Non-resident Worker Stay Permit Enquiry System (enquiry date within the past one month);
- Employer’s stay permit slip;
- Employer’s employment certificate (issued within the past one month).
• If employer is foreign national: Additional copies of the passport information page and China entry documents are required.
• If the employer is China Mainland resident: Additional copies of employer’s Mainland Resident Identity Card (front & back) and Mainland Resident Exit-Entry Permit for Hong Kong and Macao are required.
(2) Consular officers may request further supporting documents, supplementary materials or an interview when necessary.
(3)Even if submits all required documents by the applicant during both online pre-screening and in-person re-review, there is no guarantee of visa issuance. Visa officers will consider all factors to decide whether and how to issue a visa. Regardless of the visa approval, all visa application documents and service fees, except for the passport, are non-refundable.
