Notice on the Authentication Service

1. From January 9, 2023, the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) in Melbourne will provide the authentication service on behalf of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Melbourne. The service provided by CVASC includes applications receiving, fees collection, documents release and inquiries. Application assessment and issuance of the authentication certificates remain in the authority of the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourne. 


2. The applicants whose document(s) is/are notarized or issued in VIC or TAS should submit their application documents to the CVASC in Melbourne. All applicants need to book an appointment online in advance and there will be no service for those who applied without an online appointment. The booking procedures and the authentication requirements are stated on our official website: https://www.visaforchina.cn/MEL2_EN/


3. Chinese citizens may choose to submit application either to CVASC or to the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourne. The application to the Consulate-General in Melbourne shall be submitted by post mail temporarily due to the current COVID-19 situation.


4.  Service fee will be charged accordingly based on the Schedule of Fees chart on CVASC website.
