Notice on Cancellation of Visa Application Appointments

Starting from December 18, 2023 (Monday), online appointment for visa application is no longer required. Visa applicants who reside in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia can submit their applications directly to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Melbourne as follows:

Step 1. Applicants log on to the website of the Visa Center https://www.visaforchina.cn/MEL2_EN/ fill out the visa application form online accurately, download and print the full application form.

Step 2. Submit the application with the application form and other required documents (HERE) to the Visa Center from 9:00 to 14:00 on working days. And collect passports from 9:00 to 15:30 on working days.

During the initial phase of the visa application process without appointments, a significant increase in visitor traffic is anticipated in the hall. To avoid overcrowding and lengthy wait times, applicants are advised to plan their visa application times according to their travel schedule to China, and to avoid peak hours, such as 12:00 to 14:00. Additionally, to prevent noise and poor air circulation in the hall, applicants are encouraged to visit the hall on their own if possible, ideally without or with minimal accompaniment. Please refrain from bringing food and beverages, strollers, and pets into the hall.

Applicants who have already made an appointment can still submit their applications according to the appointment day.
