Do I need a visa to enter Hong Kong and Macao?

Starting from 1st May, 2019, those who apply visas for the Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR of China are kindly requested to submit applications via Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC). The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Milan will no longer accept this type of visa applications directly. Details are as follows:

1. Applicants could submit their China Hong Kong/Macao visa applications to the Consulate through the CVASC, or directly submit their visa applications to the Immigration Department of Hong Kong SAR (www.immd.gov.hk/eng/services/visas/visit-transit/visit-visa-entry-permit.html ) or the Immigration Department of the Public Security Police Force of Macao SAR (www.fsm.gov.mo/psp/eng/psp_top5_2_1.html ).
Chinese citizens who apply for entry permits to Hong Kong, still need to submit their applications to The Embassy or the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China.
