Important note about the collection of fingerprints for visa applicants
In accordance with the laws and regulations in China as well as the principle of mutuality the Chinese Visa Application Service Center is instructed by the Chinese Embassy / Consulate in Germany to collect fingerprints from all applicants from 16 December 2019. Exemptions from this regulation are:
1. Individuals less than 14 or above 70 years of age.
2. Diplomatic passport holders or individuals exempted from the collection of fingerprints based on mutual agreements.
3. Individuals who applied for a Chinese visa with the same passport and whose fingerprints were collected within the last 5 years may be exempted from the collection of fingerprints. However, the issued biometrical visa has to be presented with the same passport.
4. Individuals with restrictions in the finger area or people whose 10 fingerprints can’t be collected for other reasons.

Please note that all visa applicants need to come themselves for the collection of fingerprints. Counterfeiting or fraud with fingerprints leads to the denial of entry to China. The applicant himself is responsible for all consequences that may arise.

In addition, we ask all applicants to fill the online application form and arrange an appointment on the Visa Application Center’s website (https://www.visaforchina.org). Please upload qualified digital ID photo and check personal information carefully (Personal information in the application form must be the same as the passport ). Please present a biometrical color photo on the day of application.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
