Notice for Legalization at the Visa Center from Jan 1st 2021

As of Jan 1st, 2021, the consular legalization applications should be submitted to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Oslo (hereinafter referred to as 'Visa Center'). The followings are the basic information you need to read before you come to apply:

A) Office Hours: Due to the COVID-19, please send an email to the visa center (oslocenter@visaforchina.org) in advance. Receiving our confirmation, please submit the application materials to the visa center according to the appointment time. We will respond to your email promptly.

B) Processing time (After you have completed the submission of your application at the Visa Center)

Regular service: The processing time is usually 4 working days.  

Express service: The processing time is usually 3 working days.

 *The consular officer has the right to require the applicant to provide other supporting documents, or to have an interview at the Embassy. Therefore, the processing time may be longer than service time which are listed above. 

C) Fees

The visa center will charge legalization fees on behalf of the Embassy and the service fees. Applicants requesting express service will be charged an extra legalization fee and service fee.  Please click here for details.
**All fees must be paid immediately after submitting the application. Fees will not be refunded if the application were rejected or refused. 

D) Additional notes

1. Handwritten and printout form are both acceptable.

2. If you need express application, please indicate in the email. Visa Center will not accept applications without prior appointment.

3. Consular legalization applications filed by Chinese nationals can be still directly submitted to the Chinese Embassy in Norway. Legalization fee and service fee will be charged if submitting at the Visa Center.

4.The visa center is only responsible for the handling of the application submissions. The Chinese Embassy in Norway is in charge of the process of decision-making.
