Notice on Expanding Fingerprint Exemption for Chinese Visa Applicants
To further facilitate visa applicants, effective immediately until December 31, 2026, applicants for short-term visas (with a duration of stay up to 180 days) are exempt from fingerprint collection.
For applicants of visa categories such as D, J1, Q1,S1, X1 and Z, who need to apply for residence permits after entry, fingerprint collection is still required.
