As of June 20, 2022, the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in Canada makes adjustments for Chinese Visa Applications. The details are on the following website: http://vancouver.china-consulate.gov.cn/chn/news/202206/t20220617_10704658.htm Applicants who meet the requirements should prepare the application documents based on the visa types they apply for. Completing an electronic application form and making an appointment are mandatory.
1. Prepare the application
1. Basic documents for application:
a. Fill out the online application form (https://bio.visaforchina.org/YVR2_EN/), print out the application form in
its entirety and sign both the confirmation page and item 9 in the application
form.
Instructions on how to access the application
form is as follows:

b. Reminders when filling out the application form:
1. Location City must be Vancouver.
2. The uploaded photos must pass the system detection.
3. The names filled in on the application form must match the names on the passport.
4. Gender, date of birth, current nationality, passport number etc must all match the passport information page.
5. All items on the application form must be filled in truthfully, accurately and completely. Any wrong filling or omission may cause the visa application to be not accepted.
For example: Section 3.3 Work experience, section 4.2 Education from High School (if not applicable, please fill "N/A") , section 5.5 parents information (if parents are deceased, please explain in additional page) and section 7.1 Entrance and Exit records into or out of China in the past 3 years must be filled in truthfully and completely.
c. A photocopy of the information page of the applicant’s passport. (First page of the passport.) Please note that the Passport must have a validity of more than 6 months, with at least 1 blank Visa page, 1 blank observation page.
d. A photocopy of a valid Canadian identity certificate. (ie: Work/Study permit, Permanent Residents Card (applicable to non-Canadian citizens).)
e. Applicants that are under the age of 16 must provide original and copy of their birth certificate (this must have both parents’ name on it), a photocopy of the first page (information page) of the parents’ passports, a photocopy of the parents’ citizenship paper or the front and back of the parents’ Permanent Residents Card, and a consent form signed by both parents or guardians.
f. A photocopy of Canadian Federal Vaccine Passport proof proving they have been fully vaccinated. (Minors that have not reached the vaccination age do not need to provide this.)
g. A photocopy of the applicants valid Driver’s License/BC Service Card, if you cannot provide these copies, we will further inform you of other additional documents that can prove the applicant is a residence in BC.

Kindly remind: If you cancel your appointment without any reason, please reapply after 30days.
Agency is not allowed to apply any Visa for applicant temporarily.
3. Special Notices
a. Because of the rapid spread of COVID-19 across the world, China has decided to temporarily suspend entry into China by foreign nationals holding visas or residence permits still valid (effective from March 28th, 2020). This policy is still effective. Bearers of multiple-entry visas (except those who are holding valid Chinese resident permits for work, private affairs and family reunion) that are issued before March 28th, 2020 are unable to enter China with the existing visa.
b. Normally, the Chinese Consulate General issues a one-entry visa that is valid for three months from the date of issue. Visa fee and Service fee will apply.
c. Applicants are kindly advised not to book their flight before obtaining the visa.
