1. Basic Requirements
(1) Passport
a) Original passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application,with 2 or more blank visa pages.
b) Photocopy of the information page and extension page(if applicable) of the passport.
(2) Visa Application Form and Photo
* One fully completed Visa Application Form with a recently-taken color passport photo(full face,front view,and bare head, against a light background, size 48X33mm) attached. Photo requirements
*You should complete an Online Application Form (where a Visa Centre provides such service), print it out and sign it.
Please remember to bring the completed form to the Visa Centre to submit your application.
(3) Proof of legal entry or residence status (applicable to those not applying for the visa in their country of citizenship)
If you are not applying for the visa in the country of your citizenship, you must provide the original and photocopy of residence,work or study permit in Ghana with at least 6 months of validity.
(4) Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas (applicable for those who were Chinese citizens and have obtained foreign citizenship).
If you have obtained Chinese visas before and want to apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed foreign passport that does not contain any Chinese visa, you should present the photocopy of the previous passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate, as well as the previous Chinese visa page. (If your name on the current passport differs from that on the previous one, you must provide an official document of name change.)
(5) For citizens of other countries, the following supplementary document are required:
The original and photocopy of residence, work or study permit in Ghana with a minimum validity of six months remaining.
2. Supporting Documents

2. Supporting Documents
1. Original and photocopy of completed physical examination form notarized by a notary public.

2. The original and photocopy of one of the following approval documents:
a) Notification Letter of Foreigner’s Work Permit in the People’s Republic of China issued by the Chinese government authority of foreign expert affairs.
OR
b) Letter of Invitation to Foreigners for Offshore Petroleum Operations in China issued by China.
OR
c) Registration certificate of the resident representative office of foreign(regional )enterprises issued by related administrative department of industry and commerce;
OR
d) An approval document for commercial performance issued by Chinese government authority for Cultural Affairs(only applicable to applicants for commercial performances in mainland China)
OR
e) Valid foreigner’s work permit notification letter or Original foreigner’s work permit card.
Special Reminder
(1) Invitation letter may be in the form of fax, photocopy or computer printout, but consular officers may require submission of the original of the invitation
(2) If necessary, consular officers may require the applicant to provide other proof documents or supplementary materials, or require an interview with the applicant.
(3) Consular officers will decide on whether or not to issue the visa and on its validity, duration of stay and number of entries in light of specific conditions of the applicant.
