Basic Required Documents
Basic required documents for visa application: (if necessary, the consular officer 
may request additional supporting documents or request the applicant to undergo an 
interview). 

M visa
(Issued to those who intend to go to China for commercial and trade activities or 
sports competitions)
Basic Documents:
- Copy of the first page of passport
- Invitation letter issued by the commercial partner in China (Please refer to here for 
the requirements of the invitation letter).
If you are going to China to participate in the exhibition, you can provide the 
exhibition registration confirmation and the copy of CUI of the Romanian company
- Dispatch letter / guarantee letter issued by the foreign company (Please refer 
to here for the contents of the dispatch letter).
-Copy of the latest Chinese visa (if you have obtained a Chinese visa before)

G visa
(Issued to those who intend to transit through China/ Crew members who go to 
China to board ships)
Basic Documents:
- Copy of the first page of your passport
- Invitation letter issued by Chinese shipyard or shipping agency company (Please 
refer to here for the requirements of the invitation letter).
- Dispatch letter/guarantee letter issued by a foreign shipping company or shipping 
agency (Please refer to here for the contents of the dispatch letter).

Q1 visa
(Issued to those who are family members of Chinese citizens or of foreigners with 
Chinese permanent residence and intend to go to China for family reunion, or to 
those who intend to go to China for the purpose of foster care. The intended duration 
of stay in China exceeds 180 days.
"Family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or 
daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-inlaw.)
Basic Documents:
- Copy of the first page of passport
- Invitation letter issued by a Chinese citizen (Please refer to here for the contents of 
the invitation letter)
- A copy of the inviting person's Chinese ID card
- Certificate of family relationship (e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate, 
notarized certificate of kinship, etc.).

Q2 visa
(Issued to those who intend to visit their relatives who are Chinese citizens residing 
in China or foreigners with permanent residence in China. The intended duration of 
stay in China is no more than 180 days.)
Basic Documents:
- Copy of the first page of your passport
- Invitation letter issued by a Chinese citizen (Please refer to here for the contents of 
the invitation letter).
- A copy of the inviting person's Chinese ID card
- Certificate of kinship (e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate, notarized certificate 
of kinship, etc.).

S1 visa

(Issued to those who intend to go to China to visit the foreigners working or studying 
in China to whom they are spouses, parents, sons or daughters under the age of 18 or
parents-in-law, or to those who intend to go to China for other private affairs. The 
intended duration of stay in China exceeds 180 days.)
Basic Documents:
- Copy of the first page of passport
- Invitation letter issued by a foreigner residing in China (Please refer to here for the 
contents of the invitation letter).
- A copy of the inviting person's passport and Chinese residence permit
- Original and photocopy of family member relationship certificate (e.g. marriage 
certificate, birth certificate, notarized certificate of kinship, etc.).

S2 visa
(Issued to those who intend to visit their family members who are foreigners
working or studying in China, or to those who intend to go to China for other private 
matters. The intended duration of stay in China is no more than 180 days.
"family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or 
daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-inlaw.)

- A copy of the inviting person's passport and Chinese residence document
- Copy of certificate of family relationship (e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate,

Z visa
(Issued to those who intend to work in China.)
Basic Documents:
- Copy of the first page of passport
- Notification Letter of Work Permit for Foreigners issued by the competent 
authorities of China
- Invitation letter issued by an employer in China (Please refer to here for the 
requirements of the invitation letter).

X1 visa
(Issued to those who intend to study in China for a period of more than 180 days.)
Basic Documents:
- Copy of the first page of passport
- Original and photocopy of Visa Application JW Form for Foreign Students
- Original and photocopy of admission letter

X2 visa 
(Issued to those who intend to study in China for a period of no more than 180 days.)
Basic Documents:
- Copy of the first page of passport
- Original and photocopy of admission letter

F visa
(Issued to those who go to China to engage in non-commercial activities such as 
exchanges, visits, study tour and other activities for a period of no more than 180 
days.)
Basic Documents:
- Copy of the first page of passport
- Invitation letter issued by relevant units or individuals in China (Please refer to here
for the requirements of the invitation letter).
- Proof of work / dispatch letter (Please refer to here for the contents of the dispatch 
letter).

C visa
(Issued to crew members of international aircraft going to China for aviation and 
shipping tasks, crew members of ships on international voyages and their 
accompanying family members.)
Basic Documents:
- Invitation letter issued by the relevant Chinese unit (Please refer to here for the 
requirements of the invitation letter)
- Dispatch Letter / Guarantee Letter issued by a foreign transportation company 
(Please refer to here for the contents of the dispatch letter).

L visa

(Issued to those who intend to go to China for tourism)
Basic Documents:
-flight ticket(Round trip)
-Confirmed hotel booking
-Itinerry in detail day by day.

Applicant should apply for the Chinese visa with the major purpose, for the  tourism visa applicant , please be sure that the applicant's major purpose is for personal tourism.
