IMPORTANT NOTICE
      Following the government guidance on social distancing rules, the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Rome, Milan and Florence will begin a controlled, partial re-opening service. According to the Announcement regarding the Temporary Suspension of Entry to Foreign Nationals Holding Valid Chinese Visas or Residence Permits published on March 26th, foreign nationals coming to China for necessary economic, trade, scientific or technological activities or out of emergency humanitarian needs (such as visiting a direct family member who is in a critical medical condition or attending a direct family member's funeral) may apply for visas. The relevant arrangements are as follows:Visa applicant must firstly send an email to milancentre@visaforchina.org with a detailed explanation of the situation and a scanned copy of necessary documents. Once the request has been approved, the applicant can come to the visa center to submit the application according to the appointment time indicated by email.
      Foreign nationals applying for Chinese visa for necessary economic, trade, scientific or technological activities need to provide an Invitation Letter issued by the Foreign Affairs Office of provincial government, beside other necessary documents. The visa center will not accept any application without the above mentioned official invitation letter.
      The Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Florence can be contacted by email only for information (florencecenter@visaforchina.org), but once the request has been approved, the applicant has to go to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Milan to submit the application according to the appointment time indicated by email.
      To keep everybody safe, please follow the visa center instructions in wearing face covering mask and collaborate with obligatory temperature check.
