New Additional Service Guide
In order to further improve visa application services and meet the diversified and personalized needs of applicants, the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Medan will launch a series of new additional service items starting from 8 June 2026.
To facilitate applicants’understanding and use of these services, the eligibility, service content, procedures, and fees of each service are hereby described as follows.
I. Working-Day Passport Temporary Storage and Deferred Processing Service
Eligible Applicants
Applicants who are present at the center but cannot submit their application due to incomplete online verification, or whose verification is completed after the daily acceptance cut-off time.
Service Description
Temporary passport storage during working days;
Coordination between online verification and offline submission;
Priority processing once eligibility is confirmed;
Reduced waiting time and repeated visits.
Advantages
• Reduced waiting time onsite;
• No repeated visits required;
• Improved processing efficiency.
Procedure
Applicant applies for passport storage and completes payment;
Passport verification and storage registration are completed;
Continuous monitoring of online verification status;
Priority processing upon eligibility confirmation;
Application enters normal processing system;
Applicant follows instructions for further collection procedures.
Fee
IDR 758,000 per application
II. Premium Visa Service on Non-Working Days (Weekends and Public Holidays)
Eligible Applicants
Applicants who are unable to visit during working days or have special scheduling needs.
Service Description
Appointment-based service on weekends and public holidays;
Dedicated VIP service area;
One-on-one assistance by dedicated staff;
Application submission, payment, online verification (center stage), and passport collection services;
Flexible service for business, urgent, and time-sensitive travel needs;
VIP amenities including drinking water and refreshments.
Advantages
• Weekend and holiday appointments available;
• Flexible scheduling;
• Personalized service;
• VIP service experience.
Appointment Requirement
Appointments must be made at least half a working day in advance.
Procedure
Applicant books appointment and completes payment;
Center confirms schedule;
Applicant arrives at scheduled time;
Staff assists with submission and verification;
Application is processed normally;
Passport collection as notified.
Fee
IDR 1,516,000 per application
III. Visa Application Status Notification Service
Eligible Applicants
Applicants who wish to receive timely updates on application status.
Service Description
WhatsApp notifications for passport collection and visa results;
Automated status updates for transparency;
Assistance in travel and collection planning;
Reduced need for manual inquiries.
Advantages
• Real-time application tracking;
• Reduced manual checking;
• Increased process transparency.
Procedure
Applicant selects the service during application;
Registers WhatsApp number;
Notifications sent at key processing stages;
Applicant receives updates via WhatsApp;
Service ends upon final result notification.
Fee
IDR 10,000 per application
Important Notice
These additional services are optional. Applicants may select one or multiple services according to their needs.
These services are designed to optimize the visa application process and improve convenience. Some services may reduce waiting time caused by submission scheduling and non-working days; however, they do not affect the examination standards, processing time, or visa results of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Indonesia.
The fees stated above refer only to additional service charges and do not include visa fees, visa application service fees, or other related charges. Fees are subject to periodic adjustment based on fluctuations in exchange rates.
These services are available to both individual applicants and travel agencies/intermediary institutions.
Service offerings may vary among Chinese Visa Application Service Centers. Please refer to the latest official announcements of the respective center for accurate information.
